so, it’s been out for a short time now..
what do people think of it?
do you get a strange sensation of the 70’s when the bad wallpaper of a background appears on the screen?
do you get annoyed at the submissions that are totally nothing to do with the subject matter?
Do you like the fact that you can now get load of bazaar and cool Mii’s without the need to spam your friend code out in the vain hope of getting someone to add you (and the poor friends system where it never tells you someone has added you and both sides have to independently add each other before communications can happen!)
have you just not bothered with it at all?
Send me your comments!
well, I’ve done text and pics, I might as well do video ![]()
If you have anything to say about the jackets and how they compare to others on the market, just let me know ![]()
A month or so ago, I noticed that my Wii had a nice little blue glow from the cd tray.
This is the Wii’s oh so subtle method of informing you that there is an unopened message sitting in the message board.
So, curious to know I powered it up and checked the board out. Sitting there was a note from nintendo saying that they were offering free wii remote jackets to people who qualify for them.
A swift trip to the address supplied in the message and I had put in my request for 4 of these things and all I had to do was wait for nintendo to review the request and give me a yay or a nay.
A couple of weeks back I got a message telling me that I did qualify
and that they will be shipped to me shortly.
It has taken a couple of weeks (I wonder how much the recent mail strikes affected this) but today they finally arrived.
The envelope they were in was already ripped, but a quick count showed all 4 were indeed in there, along with a sheet of paper informing you how to put them on (which is pretty obvious really!).
Below is a collection of pics I took
Click here to see the gallery of Wii accessories.
They are comfortable in the hand as well as provide a good amount of shock absorption. They will certainly help out the more sweaty palmed players when it comes to griping the remote, which is always a good thing ![]()
Final note about them.. they have a feint smell of lockets or tunes on them.. t’is strange!

OK, I don’t know about you guys but the internet channel on my wii has never really worked, it worked for the first few times after I downloaded the beta a while back now.
However, it just doesn’t seem to be capable of accessing any sites - even ones local to my network!
I haven’t deleted it and redownloaded yet, but I have updated it and no change.
so, any of you guys have problems with this channel?

ninty has finally come good on its promise to deliver content via the wii and has offered a new channel…
it’s a demo for metroid prime 3!
The download isn’t that big, was pretty easy to get onto my wii (even if there were too many superfluous menus in the way) and all I have done so far has been to load it up to the menu, I’ll see if I can have a play about later.
Hopefully this is the start of many items they offer for download, all we need now is to be able to use the wii as a base station for offering demos and content to your DS..
how about it nintendo?
