the HDD rack “enclosure”

Now this is what I call the ultimate in hotswap external HDD enclosures (if you can call it that).

Sporting a USB port and now an eSATA port it can be all yours for a cool $57.15 (~£28)… the only stinger is that the shipping on these items are apparently quite expensive since this thing packs extra “stablising” weight to stop you from tipping it over easily.
The company selling these, geekstuff4u.com, is based in japan and has offices in new york, tho they do ship internationally and their site is packed with great gadgets from our eastern friends! :)
Alternatively, you can buy the USB only one from Scan.co.uk for a more pocket friendly price of £17.61.

where have I been?

Well, I have had a few things going on:

The first was a good friend of mine had come over from japan so it was great catching up with him and I do hope I get to go over to japan some time soon to see where he is slaving away, teaching kids english and generally scaring the local population with his massive gaijinn frame :) The second was the death of my 3 year old XP install *sniff*

However, I’m back and I’m packing 3 new vids

This is the start of my “tech venting” series where I’ll bitch about the bad points of technology and business practices that are just plain a pain in the arse.

A bit of outrage at the “tax on the uninformed”

The software that saved my ass when I lost my partitions when my XP install went tits-up.com
Visit this link to check out their software, well worth $40 in my eyes :)
